INTRODUCTION

This article shoes how to build a racing drone at home. This drone use for entertainment purpose & racing competition and show piece for exhibition.

This article show making process and all parts need for making a racing drone & all parts describe how to work.

Normally all racing drones is quad drone so we made quad racing drone.

We need some parts for build a  racing drone:

1. Racing drone frame

You can use 230 mm wheelbase carbon fiber X frame this frame arm distance is 4 mm. you use this frame we recommends you because this carbon fiber frame is very light weight and very strong so when you fly this drone the drone will be  cashed so this time the frame is not broke.

Otherwise you use the you can buy glass fiber frame and plastic frame.

2. Brushless motor

 The motor use this drone this is not normal motor (normal and big drone is used lower kV rating motor 900 to 1400 kV) these case we used higher kV rating motor 2300kv to 1000kv motor.

Basically low kV rating motor like 1000 kV is low rpm, 1000 rpm per 1 v and torque high, so we can use 10 inch big propeller, this motor can easily drive the 10 inch propeller and provide proper air thrust.

This racing drone propose we can use higher kv rating ,motor this motor in high rpm like 2300 kv its mean 2300 rpm per 1 volt so when apply 12 volt it s rpm is 27600 rpm is very high  & torque is low . Their use mini propeller like 5 inch propeller. You need 4 motors same rating the motor size is 2205, 2300 KV.

3. Propeller:

Their use 5040 propeller it is 5 inch propeller 3 blades like L- length ,P- pitch, B- number of blades.foe examples is 5x4x3 (some times 5040x3) is blade 3 & 5 inch length of outer diameter and the propeller that has a pitch of 4  inch. The pitch means the propeller rotate 1 time it displacement front side is 4 inch to starting .like screw when you tight it will get inside.

BATTERY:

We can use lipo battery for higher rating current. We use 3 cell lipo batteries 4500 MAH 11.1 volt. You can use 4 s batteries for higher backup but you.

*remember it also that the battery you use is not very big but the drone weight is increase. And when you use 4 s battery 14.8 volt you use all parts of drone is work of 14 volt (normally use 12 volt parts for 3 s battery).

4. Power distribution board & power module:

This board use for distribute the power from battery to all motors and controllers. There use 4 motors so we can choose the 4 supply distributions board. This board is available various types like 6 distribution for hex copter and 4 distribution for quad copter & 3 distribution for try copter (bi-copter).

And the power module is connected to battery and other lads connected to distribution board. The power module is a sensor it read the total power draw the drone from the battery .and live voltage of the battery. This type of data is collect the power module and sends to flight controller.

5. Flight controller:

This case we can use racing flight controller. They’re not use normal flight controller because normal flight controller sensitivity is low & racing flight controller sensitivity is high. You can use F4. F5, F7 flight controller to batter performance .this type flight controller work 3s to 6 s battery.


6. Electronic speed controller:

Their use 1 in 4 esc the 4 esc inbuilt in 1 board. It is also provides with racing flight controller board .you can also buy 3s to 6 s support ESC .this speed controller control the 4 motors speed  of the drone. You can use 32 amp and higher rating esc in this drone.


Transmitter and receiver:

The transmitter is also called remote of the drone. You can use long range transmitter for the drone. you buy the best and high quality transmitter like radio link and fly sky brand .when you buy transmitter then the receiver also provide it package .the transmitter also controlled by you and the receiver fix on the drone and connected to flight controller. The transmitter transmit the signals provide you and the receiver this radio signal catch and convert electrical signal to send the flight controller.


7. VISUAL SYSTEM OF THE DRONE:

This fpv system we can use 1 camera, one fpv transmitter and 1 receiver and 1 monitoring device.

We can choose the best camera for clear footage you can choose any type camera .we recommends a action camera they support output port of video signal. You can fix the camera to your drone your best view angle. And the fpv transmitter is places on backside of the drone and connected the power cable to the battery and the video signal wire connected to the camera. Then your fpv system is ready. Now you pair the monitoring device like vr set and LCD TV etc. to your drone transmitter. the receiver also inbuilt the monitoring system with antenna.

Lights signal (optional):

You can use to better understand the drone is which mode to fly to using led indicator. The led indicator is connected to led driver and the driver connected to the flight controller.
